Dr. Merrill Stromer

Dr. Merrill Stromer is a founding member of Pinnacle Transplant Technologies and has served as chairman since its inception in 2011. Dr. Stromer founded Amnio Technology in 2013 and has built that organization into a leading provider of birth tissue derived therapies. He is a seasoned healthcare professional who has practiced medicine and has over 30 years’ experience working with leading companies in the medical device and regenerative medical spaces. Dr. Stromer now applies his extensive experience to guide Pinnacle’s strategic direction in servicing the needs of tissue transplant surgeons and recipients.

Dr. Stromer began his career as a foot and ankle surgeon in Dearborn, Michigan where he was an early adopter of laser surgical techniques. Recognizing the lifechanging value of prosthetic replacement surgery, Dr. Stromer became one of the first distributors of prosthetic hips, shoulders and knees for Kirschner medical, a pioneer of joint replacements. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, Dr. Stromer was instrumental in building sales and distribution networks for joint replacement leaders and DME manufacturers such as Danek, Wright Medical, Aircast, Bremmer, and Zimmer.
