Associate Story: Brian Stoor

Brian, PTT Associate

Pinnacle Transplant Technologies strives not only to build a positive culture for new associates, but the regenerative medical company also works hard to find the right people to join its team. Brian Stoor was exactly the right kind of person to fill the role of production manager for PTT.

Brian worked for several years in various roles as part of a larger tissue bank, but he wanted to apply his knowledge and experience within the industry—in particular for a growing tissue bank—and help it to develop its full potential. Today, he leverages his skills to improve the safety of PTT processes, the quality of its products, and the efficiency of its teams. And this work has garnered recognition from PTT leadership, who named him the Associate of the Month for December 2018.

“Brian is the definition of team player, he has come in and earned the trust and respect of his team. He comes to work every day with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, and he remains positive and productive in the face of adversity. As we move in to 2019, Brian will again be a key player in the further advancements of the organization and our path to operational excellence.”

In particular, Brian understands the value of the colleagues that he works alongside.

“Our production team is filled with people who truly care about the work we do on a daily basis,” he said. “They provide a ton of support to this organization, and are truly the foundation of PTT. I enjoy being able to serve a team of dedicated individuals who strive to do their best on a daily basis.”

In the past eight months, his team has been able to reduce processing errors by a significant margin because of the renewed focus on quality handling and honoring of the tissue as well as the documentation of the process. This ensures that the gifts received on a daily basis result in safe, useful, and life-improving products for their recipients.

He even gave a special shout out to the team during this transition period for the company: “Change is difficult but it has been pleasurable to work with a team that is so willing to pitch in and give extra effort on a consistent basis. You guys all ROCK!”

Most importantly, Brian stresses the importance of how everything he does centers on enhancing the company mission.

“I strive to honor the gift of donation by providing the necessary tools and resources to our staff to continually improve our production. The most satisfying part of my job is when I see positive results from changes that we have been implementing.”

Well said, Brian! Congratulations for being named Associate of the Month!
