Associate Story: Ruth Diaz

Ruth Diaz PTTCongratulations to our Processing Technician, Ruth Diaz, who was named Pinnacle Transplant Technologies’ “Associate of the Month” for March!

“Ruth is extremely reliable and always willing to help guide and teach associates,” company leadership said. “She is willing to go above and beyond the normal requirements to keep PTT operations running smooth; she is proactive in bringing ideas to management’s attention; and she plays a significant role in being the voice of the technicians.”

This April marks the five-year anniversary since Ruth began working for Pinnacle. As a former meat cutter, she had accumulated 30 years of experience using the equipment of the trade—including band saws—which made her a natural fit as a processing technician for PTT’s innovative products. As a result, she decided to relocate from California to Arizona to join the Phoenix-based regenerative medicine company.

Today, she leads two clean rooms and spends a majority of her time working with the initial processing team to take Pinnacle’s bone and tissue allografts from processing to packaging. As rewarding as the day-to-day tasks are for her, it is the long-lasting impact that keeps Ruth invested in her role and the company.

“I really love what I do for Pinnacle, knowing when I get up each morning that I’ll be making a change in so many lives,” she said. “It is incredible to realize that my hands are contributing to that.”
